According to the Center for Disease control, lower back pain is the most common pain disorder among adults, and 80% of adults will suffer from lower back pain at some point in their lives.
Back pain can be caused by trauma, improper lifting, poor posture, muscular imbalances and structural abnormalities of the spine and intervertebral discs. Treatments will focus on relieving pain as well as addressing the underlying cause of the pain. Of the 152 people who came to my office for lower back pain in 2016, 87% reported a significant decrease in pain in four sessions or less.
